My description regarding where the power comes from was pretty vague and not definitive at all. The actual connection point can and did change from installer to installer and from year to year and manufacturer to manufacturer.
Unless one of the fuses blows, looking for the connecting point may be just an exercise in tracing wires and not too important. My Bounder has them clearly marked, the yellow wire and it's fuse are located under the dash the red wire and its fuse were connected directly to the positive terminal of the house battery. That's not much help is it.
