Adios to all the good people on the Class C forum!

You gave me TONS of good information and helpful hints. You shared your "oops" moments, so that I didn't make the same mistake. We enjoyed 10 years of sightseeing vacations, without having too many mishaps!

But alas - we've sold our beloved and trusty 28' Gulf Stream Conquest :-( I admit I'll shed a few tears when the new owners pick it up this weekend. Of course, as I'm cleaning out our belongings, I'm reminded of all the fun trips and amazing places we've been.... but 10 years has seen us slowly turning towards being Snowbirds - at least for a month...LOL! And since we're staying in one place for a longer time (and own a diesel F-350 for our business anyway) - it's kind of a no-brainer to own a 5th wheel trailer, whose massive slideout makes an enormous difference in spaciousness. Bottom line - we don't really need 2 largish RVs. And since we have the truck anyway - I bought a popup truck camper for a few weekends camping in the rustic Forest Service campgrounds that my kayaking friends like to use. The Class C was simply too tall to venture into those.

The new owners like the little upgrades that have been done to our MH - most of those great ideas came from right here...LOL!

So thank you, to all of you. I'll pop in from time to time, to help other newbies. I'm not going away - just changing my mode of RVing :-)
  • I like your plan, I really do. For now we are very happy with our small C as a one size solution. But I could see having a fiver for snowbirding and a popup TC for getting out in the sticks.

Sorry to see you leave. Drop back and say hi when you can. Enjoy you new RV.

I'll just be "next door" ;-)
  • Don't forget the more general forums. Most problems and questions are not limited to a specific type of RV. Many of us subscribe to several forums, not just the one for the RV type that we happen to own.
  • Life offers us many choices. Enjoy your new mode of travel.
