Rick called while I was away this weekend and left a voice mail. I called him back today, and he explained that the X65 has been backordered, and WATTS has told him it's to be discontinued. We chatted for a while, and I explained that the regulators I've been using were supposed to be preset to 45psi, but neither was anywhere near it. We discussed the Fairview, and he explained that it was preset to 55psi and should flow more water than either of the cheapo units I've got. I told him to send that instead. It will be simpler for my wife when I'm not along, and hopefully, it'll deliver what I need when the pressure at the park is too high.

Thanks for all the suggestions and leading me to Rick. He's gone to a lot of effort on my part for a $25 sale. I'd recommend him any time.

As usual, just the info I need without the drivel I get on other forums. You folks rock!

We did try the pump, but it doesn't deliver a lot of pressure either. It works, but it still just sort of dribbles.

I've looked at the adjustable regulators offered by Camping World and a very similar one on Amazon, but they don't have very good reviews.

It sounds like the Watts is just the ticket.

Watts 263A here. Full time for 5+ years. I did have to open up and clean my 263A early this year and used a rebuild kit for the few parts that actually wear. All is good again and the adjustability is great for me. I keep it at 50-52psi.

For "full flow" watch all of your various adapters/splitters, etc. Most of the off the shelf models at RV stores or Wal-Mart are reduced flow.

I feel your pain. Been there, done that. Stopped at a campground once where the owner said the same thing, only in his case, the pressure was 150 psi, and surely would have exploded every pipe in the camper. And to be sure, the inexpensive camping-store regulator we had barely passed a trickle. So, yeah, you need a decent regulator, but it doesn't necessarily need to be adjustable, just able to actually pass a little water.

Good advice...here is our set up from this guy:

Go to this website and get one of his X65BG regulators. You set the pressure yourself. This one passes 6 to 9 gallons of water per minute. His 263A line only passes 4 to 4.5 gallons per minute.

I have the 55BG which is the X65BG's predecessor and love it.

Having run into that issue a number of times, our solution is to just use the pump. Then refill the water tank as needed
