This is from Winegards manual. I have worked on and FIXED dozens of Winegards and have NEVER had to do or have heard of such a thing. Doug
The Mission antenna is designed to be maintenance free. However, it is a good
idea to clean the dome from time to time with a soft cloth, water and dish soap
All I can tell you is they said they did an adjustment at the advice of winegard
