It sounds good to be able to stay in some of the state or national parks. My husband is on social security disabilitiy, does anyone know of any special rates or discounts on anything with people who are on disability?
The National Park Service offers the
America the Beautiful passes. If you are 60 years old you can get the Senior Pass for $10 and it is good for the rest of your life. If your husband is disabled he may be eligible for the Access pass which is free. These passes give you free entrance to most parks and half-price campsites at most of them. These passes also give you half-price camping at the Corp of Engineers parks which are some of the best campsites in the country. Both the DW and myself have the Senior Pass as there are some parks that have tours, etc. where each individual must have the pass to get the discount.
