Took me 5 years on the road full time to figure out what I SHOULD have done.
I should have taken the money from the sale of my house and immediately bought a small house w/acreage where I could also park my RV on the property in Florida.
1. Stay in Florida in the house in winter.
2. RV back North to a CG for summer.
That would have saved me 'thousands' of dollars. And my dogs would have had enjoyed it more. And I would have had the luxury of knowing I did not have to deal with Florida CG rates and sardine sites.
Fast forward to January of this year......that is what I finally did. I guess I am a slow learner.:B
As a note I think the success of full timing forever is based a lot on the RV'er having family. I.E. kids/grandkids, perhaps several in different states. I have met many that enjoy staying a full timer because they also are traveling all over visiting with family thru out the year.
I guess starting next year I will officially have to change my title from Full Timer to Reverse Snowbird!
