Hi Shaun,
I am going through the same thing as you, picking up our coach in a few weeks. I have shopped extensively for this and have not yet decided if I want to spend the big bucks for the service plan. That being said I spoke with the folks from Wholesale Warranties (WW) and found the same as you and have decided not to go this route due to coverage only for 4 years, no consequential rider and the price being the same for better coverage through ExtraRide (ER).
I spoke with a number of dealers regarding the ExtraRide policy. I think this is one of the better companies to get coverage if you do get it. If I do buy it will be extraride. For the same price as WW offers I can get an extraride policy for 5 years with the consequential rider for a used DP (2008 HR Navigator). The prices are all over the place. The best price I received for a 5 year plan with all of the riders (including consequential damage) and platinum exclusionary coverage was about $8,500 (before tax, yes you need to add tax on top of this). The worst price was over $13,000, crazy. Your price will be a function of what coach you have and it's mileage, price you payed (used) and the original price of coach.
The only reason WW no longer carries ExtraRide is that ER is only offered through a dealer now, no brokers. WW does sound like a very good company and was the most knowledgeable people I spoke to about their products.
In addition to the ER policy I was quoted $500.00 for a 7 year tire and wheel policy (a separate company than ER, the ER tire and wheel was only good for 5 years at the same price). The ER policy appears to come with road side assistance so no need for an additional policy from Good Sam or Coach net on top of this.
Let us know what you choose to do, I am still sitting on the fence and will need to decide within two weeks.
