you are assuming, probably incorrectly, that the OP is paying cash for their RV and has that money to put in a savings account, and is not financing it. that fact changes the whole ball game IMHO.
he can pay $10 a month now for the coverage or hope he doesn't have a $2,000 expense in 18 months ($180).
I took an extended warranty on my Highlander, extended BtoB coverage for 7 years 84,000 mi or some such. just had a rear tail gate lift mechanism issue with an estimate of $1700. waiting to see if Toyota and the co. come up with the cash. Toyota did say that if the company denies my claim, that they would do something?
