A alot to consider.....
I would like to get a newer model 2009+ (for reasons mentioned) but the price jumps to about $40-$50K for a 2009 31'. It may be worth the extra $10K for financing, payload, and resale.
Keep looking, good deals do pop up here and there. I was in the same situation ($35k max budget), I was scanning CL, RVT, ebay and any other camper sales medium I could find for a few months. I was getting a little discouraged with how much people (and especially dealers!) wanted for older and sometimes high mileage Class C's. Then finally one day last month a 2008 Winnebago Access 29T showed up on craigslist with only 21k miles (Ford V10). We went and looked at it, and it was in very good condition. It has a walk around rear queen, dinette slide out, sofa, and over cab bunk. They were asking $32k, they accepted our offer of $28k. We are very happy with the camper! It even has an in motion satellite dish on the roof. Good luck with your search.
