You are beginning to understand the issues with the largest of class C motor homes. They can't carry much. Maybe a 31 footer can sleep 6 people, but don't plan on giving them a ride. That is why some people get into a Super-C chassis, so they can bring everyone and their stuff, a tank full of fuel and fresh water along for the ride. Some Super-C chassis with diesel engines will even get better fuel economy. But everything has it's price. As I recall, your budget was in the $35k range which would be challenging.
