Just a common sense kind of thing. A gun in the RV only helps if you're there to use it. (No, guns by themselves are NOT dangerous) If you're there, you could jump out and say "Boo!" and scare them off!
Otherwise the gun becomes just like the other loot. Park where you feel safe and listen to your gut! A lock on something you want to keep will slow them down, but nothing lasts forever, except forever! Happy Camping!
