Front brake caliper needed to be replaced....Bendix Part Number K022919. Called Monaco to confirm. Using the axle serial number and proper part numbers, this is the correct part number. Checked with Bendix....$3000.00 EACH.!!!...Holy Moly Batman !:E:E.
Having been building street rods for over 40 years, I've put many many brakes systems together, but this was a total shock....next issue was trying to find the doggone things....one in Nevada and one in Indiana...best I could do....ugh!
Thanks for letting me vent.....Dennis
That's absolutely ridiculous and you've just added another pro/con with the Gas vs DP controversy.
I just replaced my two front Bendix calipers with Auto Zone rebuilds and a life time guarantee for $60 each.
Hey Trop,
I know that you have been around here for a long time. It's not about a gas vs. diesel pusher kind of thing. There is just not a gas motor available for Dennis's Executive.... and a gas motor couldn't handle his nearly 90,000 lbs. (he said his wife likes to collect things). LOL!
Everything about a diesel coach and it's chassis are more robust so it will cost more for those parts.
