I 'bout fell off my recliner on that one!
Yep, while Dennis's shock about the price of his part is warranted, anyone and everyone that's either owned a D/P or presently has one, knows there's an increase cost of ownership vs anything less. It's a given. We all accept the potential for that higher cost. That doesn't mean we'll be happy when we see an estimate for a "$1,500" muffler, an "$1,742" radiator or, as is Dennis's case, "$3,000" per side, calipers. None of us are happy with that kind of maintenance/repair fees just for parts, let along labor if you're not doing it yourself. It is what it is.
