Again, I appreciate all the comments, both good and not so good..that's what makes this forum special. Those that know me, know I've researched this til I'm blue in the face and if there were a suitable alternative, I'd have taken it.
That said, my particular calipers are NOT rebuildable, and the rust that formed on the OUTSIDE damaged the boots causing rust on the INSIDE, not much mind you, but enough that I'm not comfortable having them on MY coach. Plowing through an intersection with a 25 ton coach is not something I want to experience, nor do I want to chance coming down the Grapevine later this year with questionable brakes. I'm not complaining about the price of the calipers, it is what it is...I was just shocked that they were so expensive. I've paid the price and gotten it fixed and ready to hit the road again. Whether I get relief from the insurance company will be a follow up to this post......Dennis
