air compressors
I was wondering what air compressors some of you are using to air up your motorhome tires. We have a gas MH so no built in air comp.

Air compressors are a common item in the off-road industry.
Google viair, oasis compressors, Kilby and York to name a few.
There are some great setups out there in all $ ranges.
Some things to remember when choosing compressors.
Duty Cycle, CFM and Max. Pressure.

Far more capable? They're both capable. Are you talking about filling a flat tire? Then yes the AC will give you more CFM ... When you reach higher tire pressures. But most people aren't filling a flat tire on their MH, they're topping off a couple pounds. It's takes less than 15 seconds a tire to get ours topped off ( no more than a lb or two off).
I'm just not seeing the AC powered heavy bulky compressors are that important for tire "topping off". If you pulling lug nuts or shooting nails then I totally agree.
I too have a pancake compressor. It never leaves the garage anymore.
