- rwynkoopExplorerThat is because it is still February. When it reaches the thermostat set point it will shut off. :). I do not know if these have a low pressure cut off like cars. It may be too cold for it to run. What is the inside and outside temps where your at?
- ddndougExplorerDash air, or house?
Doug - Canadian_RainbiExplorerWhat type of air conditioner? Our basement model Coleman-Mach will do that if the voltage drops too low when the compressor starts.
We are waiting for the tech to show up tomorrow morning hoping that it is something simple like the start capacitors gone bad due to low voltage and not the compressors.
Its been like an oven in here in the afternoons: 87F. Now after midnight it has finally cooled down to 77F. - TerryallanExplorer III would check to see if the vents are blowing on the thermostat. that will cause the AC to cycle every couple minutes. I learned that the hard way. Aim the vent away, and it should run normally.

RV AC units have no pressure switches. Dougfiredog wrote:
air conditioner cycles on and off. on 2 min off 2 min. then back on etc
it is blowing cold air. We have a 2010 Monticeto diesel Motorhome.
Thanks for any help

Need Make and Model of AC. It could be a defective Freeze Sensor, or as another posted the roof vent is blowing on the wall tstat. Is it exactly 2 minutes each time or are you guessing the time? Doug- All_I_could_affExplorerAlso need to know where you are...and if they have room for one more rig. Cold and wet day working outside today
- crassterExplorer IIIn Texas 82F today. Using A/C in Feb is strange. Is your thermo set below inside temps? If so cycling CAN be a sign of low refrigerant... There are other dependents though.
- firedogExplorerThanks everyone! Back air was a loose wire. Front air dead, need new one. Such as the life of an RVer!
