Air Horn

2004 Holiday Rambler Vacationer 37 PCT (Ford Chassis V-10).

Have never used the air horn but the previous owner demonstrated it back in June when we bought it and it was OK. Tried it today and it kind of stuck...ran for quite a while and then kind of wound down but the compressor keeps running. As long as the ignition is on it runs. I just want to pull the fuse for now but not sure where the fuse block is on this unit.

Thoughts? Both for the fuse block and anything that might repair the air compressor/horn.

Thanks.

There should have been a switch installed on the dash to shut the compressor off, maybe install one in the near future..
  • Perhaps I am misreading, but if the solenoid is open sending air to the air horns, the compressor SHOULD continue to run.

If that is the case, I would start by diagnosing the solenoid and horn button.
  • On the compressor, they will have a pressure switch. 2 wires. Just unplug one of those wires. Doug
