I have found one major negative with a TPMS. I put them on my 99 DSDP and my toad over a year ago. I've put the 99 up for sale and I thought I'd move the TPMS to my 2003 DSDP. The tire pressures have remained good and I had no reason to take them off. Now, unfortunately it seems that three of the monitors have seized onto the valve stem and won't budge.
I also have the same problem on my toad. Even gripping the stem with pliers and using the "anti theft" removal tool (what an awkward device!), they will not budge. The only thing that turns eventually is the valve stem.
The problems seems to be that the rubber "o" ring inside the monitor is now bonded to the valve stem.
Anyone else have this problem? or a solution?
Chris
