Air ride for motorhome

If you search on Kelderman on this forum you will find much info on this subject. All of us who have been willing to experiment for better ride have shared our results. I think we have found common ground that first tire pressure, 2nd shocks and finally Kelderman. For wind it is rear trac bar, steering stabilizer and the "cheap fix". Along the way we rejected some things and I think we all agree that alignment is critical under all conditions. Good luck.

lipstick on a pig comes to mind. I have all those accessories minus the air bag system. Its leaf springs and to try to make a leaf spring vehicle an airbag ride... you are going to spend lots of $$$ for very little benefit.
Also keep in mind... with air bag rides also comes the fact that if the controller valve fails... you wont be able to drive it.

Kelderman. I have it. Really makes a difference. 6 grand installed. Koni Fsd shocks. Needed with air ride or not and make great improvement. The Koni are your best starting point and then move on to Kelderman.

I did all the work myself, took out the rear springs etc, and went to Freightliner and ordered the whole air suspension assembly for an F70 series truck and bolted it all in, cost about $3500. and the front I took out 2 leaves and added Freightliner Columbia air bags, sure made one nice ride out of the ole Newmar.

Several years ago and I can't remember how many Workhorse offered an after market air suspension for about $5K. That offer didn't last long but it was out there. The shop I had my MH suspension repaired said there is air suspension available.
If you are seriously interested I could call them for that info.
