I taught school in Ontario, CA just a few miles from the plant where they were made. They hired some of my students and a few of their dads so I had a unique opportunity to discuss the plant opperation. This is second hand gossip but the common point is that they had untrained workers doing jobs that they were not trained to do. I was amazed by some of the tales I heard. It's no surprise they had so many problems with assembly quality.
The joke goes that the plant workers would line up as a new coach drove off and chant "See Ya Later" Bob
