Allegro 34TGA likes or dislikes

Looked at s 2012 Allegro 34TGA Ford power,7000 miles, like new condition private sale, anything that I shoud be worryed about or have checked, price under 90,000

Happy potential buyer

Frank
  • It drove fine slides move smoothly, seems to have all options 7 kw generator, divers door etc. Previous post mentioned a heavier chassis but going over the options for a 2012 I didn't see one available for the 34TGA, looking at the Ford chassis site this Rv has 235 tires and the other chasis has 245s

    Thanks for all responses

Tire size for 24000 should be 255/80R22.5G the 245 was my mistake
  • Make sure that unit has the 24K chassis as it makes a big difference in CCC, which is iffy on the 22K. There is much discussion on the 34TGA on the Tiffin forums. We liked that model also but decided to go the DP route instead. Good luck in your choice of coach.

On edit: make sure you have the unit checked by a pro before purchase. There's been much unhappiness among some Tiffin owners with the QC at the factory. Not meaning to start a war.
  • Nothing stands out as a problem in the 2012s. Make sure slides work, door is easy to open and close, etc. Have someone make sure all of the systems work. The Open Roads are not too complicated and are pretty solid. Enjoy your new motorhome.
  • I would take it somewhere and have it totally looked over. As far as Tiffin goes we love the product.
