Allison Fluid Level Questions
Quick question on the Allison 4000,
Using the Keypad to check level I got an indication that is was 7 qts low. The display would flash O, than L, than a minus sign (-) than 7. It would move between 5 and 7 depending if the engine was running or not. The coach was level and the tranny temp at ~190 or so.
I added 4 qts of Dexron but the level didn't come up so I checked the dipstick and it shows really overfull under the same conditions.
Feedback would be appreciated. I'm reluctant to add more fluid until this is resolved. I only have a couple of hundred mile to get her home and than it goes into the shop for a fluid change to Transynd.
