Would an oil analysts test, tell one for positive proof, if a used rv has transend oil in the transmission.

Are you sure that you posted in the thread that you intended to? This thread is pertaining to Allison Transmission fluid changes.

April 2005 is when Allison switched to Transynd. So any transmissions after that had Transynd so you would need the transmission serial number to trace when the transmission was built which obviously would be prior to it being installed in a Chassis.
I would guess that a fluid condition analysis would tell you what type of fluid you currently have in your tranny.

Call manufacture with vin number. They should be able to tell you what transmission and oil you have. If you have transmission serial number Allison will be more than happy to help you. Chassis manufacture should also have information.

I have W.W. Williams handle mine in Phoenix. I buy the bottle from them ($10) drain some oil into it and return it to them by mail or in person. They take it to the lab the call and email me the results in less than a week. Look for an Allison dealer repair shop near you. W W Williams sells Transynd for about $20 a gallon less than Freightliner and almost 1/2 of the price of others filters. Helpful bunch of people.

Oil analysis cost $10.

I purchased my coach with no service records. I'm going to change my tranny fluid this week over to Transynd. For the future were do you get yours tested for $10.00

I guess this could be right if you never overheated the transmission fluid and you completely ignored the 48 month time limit for a scheduled fluid change as recommended by Allison.
At the very least, the OP should be on his third fluid change since his 2006 came with Transynd from the factory.

Ron, my advice is directly from Allison...they do recommend the fluid be spec'd periodically but the change is 300,000 miles or life whichever comes first....Dennis

Transynd Fluid Change Interval

Using your link, you missed where it said 48 months for general service and 36 months for severe service. They say whatever comes FIRST, the mileage or the time limit, in months or hours of service.

Transmission fluid isn't for life no matter what anyone tells you. The change is a lot cheaper than an new tranny.
