I had this happen right after the tech wired my toad charging line. He took the ECM hot off to connect the charging line and didn't bolt it back on after. It was just lying on the terminal post, breaking connection every once in a while. If you're driving, this puts up a "do not shift" light and it sticks the tranny in fourth, sort of a limp home mode, which I did. (Warning - the trans temp gets pretty high when starting from a stop in 4th.)
I dug around with a DVM but concentrated on the battery compartment until I found the wire. This did require an ECM reset) pulled the terminals off the bottom and pugged them back in.
