One occurrence of limp mode induced by extended city traffic should not trash the tranny. I agree with this post. Clear the codes, reset the TCM and drive it.
I would also have the transmission drained and flushed and the filters changed.

To re-boot that computer ECM/TCM all one must do is, remove the Negative cable from the Chassis battery. leave it off a few minutes and then replace it. I'd do it three times just to be sure it took.
When you start driving the coach again, it will require about 1500 miles for the computer to learn your driving habits, and return to normal.
Our's is a Alison 6000 I'm hoping your 3000 is the same procedure.
