Almost destroyed my 37’ RV, on an 8’8” Low height bridge

Here's a Google Maps street view link showing signage on the parkway the OP was on. Overhead sign says "passenger cars only" and words painted on the road say "no trucks low bridge". I can only assume the rest of the access points to this parkway have similar signs.
