Almost made it out of the driveway

Question

Kwikee steps apparently did not retract and got caught on a culvert as we pulled out. Seems that was a bad omen for this trip. Soon after, Our friends lost a wheel off their boat trailer. We stopped to help, and I turned our coach off. Then it wouldn't start, only makes a click click click. Battery shows 12.9 volts on chassis but only 8.9 for house. Waiting for roadside service now.

Good news is I was able to remove the steps while we are waiting.

Not good but all part of the "adventure."Gosh, think how much fuel you are saving.....Hope it all gets straightened out and you can get on down the road.

It was a battery.  We made it to our destination but our friend broke down again.
