Alternatives for storing sewer dump assembly - sanitary?

I have a 1998 Roadtrek 190P which houses the sewer dump fitting in the large storage compartment along with the city water hookup and fresh water hose storage, outdoor shower, and the electrical power...

Most class A's are like that that I have seen and some of the class C's.

To me it's not nearly as bad as touching a table, slat, pepper, or what ever before picking up my bread.
