Alternatives for storing sewer dump assembly - sanitary?

I have a 1998 Roadtrek 190P which houses the sewer dump fitting in the large storage compartment along with the city water hookup and fresh water hose storage, outdoor shower, and the electrical power...

It's a bad and unsanitary idea to store your waste hoses along with your potable water hoses. Get a small bucket or clear Sterite type Bin w/ a lockable lid.
