We use the overhead bed for the occasional third and fourth.
Almost any B+ will not have the overhead bed, that's kind of what makes it a B+.
Winnebago, more often than other manufacturers, fits 80" beds on the floor, as you've noted with the Spirit (and MinnieWinnie) Cs. In the View/Navion pair, the corner bed in 25J floor plan is 80" on the long side, width trimmed to 50" to fit the narrower body; overhead bed on that one is optional, standard use of over-cab enclosure is head space.
