Green energy regulations have a lot of "feel good" requirements, more expensive and not too effective. (ask the coal industry)

Without subsidies, the prices of ethanol fuels would be considerably higher.
Scientific American recent article showed that Sao Paulo Brazil low level Ozone levels actually increased as ethanol use increased. That city has a huge smog problem and air quality is closely monitored. Some vehicles there use E-100.
