annoying bird problem

We have some birds at home that love our motorhome. They insist they want to find spots under the MH to build their nests. We've blocked off some places they like to build nests, but they just find another nook that they like. Has anyone found a way to keep these pesky birds away?

Thanks for any suggestions-- Mick
  • I had one little irritating black bird then there were 5 so I got a fake owl and cads and then PEACE i think somebody told me those annoying birds were Starlings and they are quite diff than a sweet
    robin sitting on your fence.
  • Bird netting sounds like a good idea. You can get a roll, enough to last several years, in the garden department of Home Depot, Walmart, etc.
  • This may be a ridiculous idea but there are lawn sprinklers that sense movement and turns on to spray whatever moved. They may not work for birds.
The other idea is to hang netting all around the RV to close up the space between the RV and the ground. It may just have to be hung during egg laying season.
  • since 1986 we’ve had only only one issue with birds. went to pick up the MH from our storage lot one early spring day to start prepping for a trip. at home when i opened the hood i was greeted with threw bobbing orangish/yellow....things. for a few seconds i had no idea what these things were but i soon realized a bird had made a nest in the engine compartment of our class A. i gently removed the nest, placed it in a cardboard box, returned it to the storage lot and placed it in a small tree next to our space hoping that momma would return.

  • I've heard it said, if you get an artificial owl and set it out, it keeps some birds away. I've never tried it myself. I have found a good "mouser" cat works pretty good at keep birds in flight.
