- Mr_Mark1ExplorerVery sad picture to see. Luckily, we have a built-in engine fire suppression system with a warning indicator alarm at the driver area along with the 'button' to activate. Hope that I never have to use it.
MM. - rgatijnet1Explorer IIIMy fire extinguishers are only to be used to make sure that we are out of the coach and clear of any possible fire danger and maybe to help some other person in distress. Once everyone is safe, I'll let the fire department do what they do. If they save the coach, fine. If not, oh well.
- IvylogExplorer IIIBy the time you get stopped from 60 mph assuming you noticed the smoke early on from a engine fire... you will have a raging fire. I carry four fire extinguishers and doubt that they would get it all out. Hard to tell the source of the fire and if it was a engine, I would think all of the rear cap would be gone.
I can see the three louvers of the lower vent for a NoCold refer so for once it's not the source. - happy-2ExplorerDoesn't any one carry fire ex,I carry 4,one in the bedroom, one in the kitchen, one in the pass side bay,and one on the driver side by the dump bay.I would like to think I'm prepaired.
- johnhicksExplorerHave no fear, it'll be blamed on the Norcold.
- Mike_HohnsteinExplorerAnd some are annoyed that Wanderlodge folk feel like they know something. A few years back there was a PT-40 that suffered an engine fire on the Indiana Toll Road, took the fire truck 25 minutes to get there. Fire DID NOT get into the living area. Smoke yes, but no fire. Due to it's age the coach was totaled.
I see NO metal in the remains of the house in this example. - sprintmod1ExplorerI believe it is an American Coach Revolution. My '10 Rev has the same lower rear cap and if you enlarge the picture, the rear slide has a logo there that may have said "Revolution". Also if you look closely, at the front corner, the inverted mirror arm is still there which I think is used almost exclusively by AC.
I have not researched the paint scheme, but I think it was a 2009-2012 paint scheme.
My guess is that it was started by an engine fire. Or more precisely something to do with the DPF/EGR system.
Need more info and some more research.
Very sad to see this coach knowing that mine "should" be looking about the same right now. - GMandJMExplorerThat makes me feel ill just to look at it.
More details, anyone? - 45RicochetExplorerHeck I can't even tell what brand it was. Wonder if it had RR or if it used LP?
