Do you stop lights work? The cruse control needs to see a ground signal from the stop light wires when the stop lights are off.
Could it be some one replaces the incandescent stop light bulbs with LEDs?

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, my brake lights work just fine, and no, they have not been replaced with LED's
