There was also a recall involving the cruise control on the Ford v-10. We had to have the recall repair done on ours. It was working fine. The repair had something to do with the wiring harness. Maybe you should check with a Ford dealer and your VIN # to see if there is on open recall on yours.
I was going to mention this as well. About a month after we bought ours, we got the recall notice and got the Ford dealership to fix it.
