I have a '07 Safari Simba with the exact same set up and agree with your findings. I have driven 40 foot DP and they do handle better on the road. Still, I have a hard time rationalizing spending the extra on DP when I have everything I need. Not necessarily everything I want. The one thing about it that I love the best is it's paid for.
