Another oldie ( Not mine )

I was thinking about 5 mpg would be a realistic number for an old gasser like that in a heavy rig, especially running at todays highway speeds.

That is a cool old rig though. It would be awesome to repower it with a Caterpillar 3208E and an Allison MD3560CR.
