Nike, It is a little hard to give directions without knowing exactly how you are hooked up to the antenna but, if the antenna amp is on and the cable is feeding directly to the RF connection in the back of the set, your input should be set to Antenna. Performing the channel search should get you most of the stations in your area. Someone mentioned the signal meter, that is part of getting good reception. On my sets, I have to change the input to HDMI to use my BluRay player because it only has HDMI output.
Cable TV, and Antennas are RF but other components like DVD players, BluRay players and some VCRs are not. TV needs to know what signal in being sent to the set. There should be a really good explanation of this in the on-line manual for your set.
With the MoHo parked in front of the house, I get over 50 stations using the Batwing, some of those are digital music but still they are digital signals, so the batwing will work great if the signal is there.
