There are ao many digital antennas because people buy that new tv and don't have a clue or want to understand how they work so they are gullible. New tv? Sure I need a new antenna for this different tv! In OLD terms any old antena should work most "digital" channels are now broadcast on the UHF band so if your old antenna was rated to receive UHF signals there is no difference . UHF signals don't travel as far nor do they penetrate objects as well so digital tv has brought us decreased range from the old VHF. And yes I know some digital tv is still on a portion of the VHF band.
If you bought the 30 dollar digital antenna .. Stuck it on the window or in a cabinet or on top the tv or... Great . It works.......... For you but .. Just sayin a little reading will find a batwing with wingman is probably best for a RV and the "Jack " while not as good has the advantage of not cranking up and down
Digital tv antennas and 50 dollar HDMI cables ( mine cost 6 bucks on Monoprice) are the biggest money makers stores have if you have them it's too late just relax knowing they too will work just fine and you've helped someone else have a merry Christmas ! ;-)
