Well, as stated, no matter what kind of antenna you have or change to, a 5 minute trip to the roof with your VOM will tell you if you've got 12VDC to the antenna or not. If you don't have 12V there, you could aim that antenna for the rest of your life and you'll not receive any channels. Good luck.
