Antenna

Looking to buy a Winegard Rayzar RZ8535 over the air antenna. Was wanting to know where the lowest price can be found and if you have one how you like it and if you have had any problems.
Thanks for all comments
  • I have one and have mixed feelings.

If you value convenience over performance, this might be for you.
Once installed, operation is easy and performance is not bad for an omni-directional fixed antenna.

BUT....my unit was noisy and the motor sounded labored during part of it's rotation. It only lasted 3 trips before it failed completely. Winegard was excellent to deal with and replaced the dome. The new one worked a little better than the failed one but it still sounds like it is "binding" during part of it's travel. It hasn't failed completely yet but I have my fingers crossed.

I'm not a big fan of CW but they have them on sale for $100 off occasionally.

I Have looked at the Rayzar's and .. Not impressed.

Not much in the RV-TV antenna department beats the Sensar IV, or a Sensar II or III with wingman added.. Abut the only thing is one of those with the addition of a Sensar Pro power supply, switch, pre-amp inside the RV,

And now you know HOw I watch TV Sensar II or III + Wingman and Sensar Pro.

Lot of $$$ just to automatic and a good ole crank-up OTA BATWING antenna is going to hard to beat...

The only thing going for you is your 2013 Phaeton 36GH is already high off the ground I guess...
