We had the Dometic fridge in our 11-year old rig fail last season. After a lot of analysis, we decided to go with a replacement from the same manufacturer.
The opening door problem is easily solved by a piece of Velcro around the door handles.
This is a valid concern. If handles don't allow use of Velcro around the handles, we have seen a metal clip used to hold side-by-side doors in place. The other issue are the glass shelves with no restrain bars on the front. We will use the no-slip mats on the shelves when we get our next coach.
