I just spent 4 days at a racetrack campground and our house battery drained each night. I just figured it was time for a new one but it charged up on the way home and held the charge for 2 days so far...

The battery is a 4 year old (5?) blue top Optima so I can't check the cells. The chassis battery is a 2 year old Optima. We didn't run the heater at all. I usually top off my batteries before a trip with a portable trickle charger and almost always plug in for 24 to 36 hours to get the fridge down to temp.
So you're thinking it's the circuit in the converter? At 20 years old I'm not opposed to replacing it but how can I confirm it's the issue? (Thanks for the link smkettner.)
