Davydd-although it is A CS it is not the same situation. the guy on the sprinter page had the mini-e-trek package already installed.
thats 4 batteries/engine generator/2500 watt inverter/charger/. he tried adding 4 six volt batteries to it (not using same size batteries) to make it a full e-trek(although 2500 watt inverternot full e-trek 5000). his system not wired correctly for this.
Steve has the standard CS. 1250 watt inverter but no engine generator-i assume he as Onan(you can get 4 total batteries from roadtrek with no generator at all) 2 additional batteries will be just that-2 additional batteries.
I'm aware of that but see it as a caveat's worth of reading and there are some other CS comments of interest too. What it does point out is maybe trusting a third party, even a Roadtrek dealer, to make modifications, might not be smart. Are all Roadtrek's battery and electrical systems cloaked in "proprietary" or is it just the E-Treks? All this multiple battery stuff (beyond 2 batteries) is fairly new with Class Bs. The more I read the more I see a lot of in expertise in building them and a lot of unanswered questions through lack of experience and feedback. I say that and I am going off the deep end with LiFePO4 batteries. ;)
