My present 1999 RV and three other neighbors have them and no issues. Sounds like someone hit something. As far as weight issue I have a 37.6 and weight a lot more than you. Also if you check car haulers you will find that many are 19.5. They can carry a very good load. Yes the 22.5 can do more. That is where a good inspection comes into play before one buys.
