Affirmative. I have broken 3 Alumnium wheels so far. Two of them inners (lots of tough terrain driving). I've also bent many more steel ones, but the Aluminum inners are hard to see when they break. I drove may miles (maybe thousands) on the broken inner wheels. I still run AL outers however, since the damage would be readily apparent. I had chosen the AL inners (which require longer studs) do reduce unsprung weight, as that makes the ride over washboard roads nicer.
Note: Ford did struggle for a while with a supplier who could not make true wheels. They ended up switching manufactures, and issuing a TSB for coaches with the bad wheels. However that TSB only covered rigs under warranty, so while it would provide info whether yours are the good or the bad wheels, Ford won't pay for it at this point.
