Anybody play piano keyboards while on the road?

I want to take my Yamaha keyboard on the road with us in our 37' Thor Challenger with three slides. On shorter trips, I used a table, but it was kind of awkward.

Have any of you done this, and if so, how did you set up the keyboard - on a table, or do you have a stand that's isn't too bulky? The keyboard is one of the compact 60 key units.

What do you use at home?

I have one of those folding stands shaped like an "X".

Yeah, that's what I have at home. But even though it's a relatively small one, it would take up more space than my keyboard, which is pretty compact. I haven't been able to find one on the internet that collapses to a small package except for a $200 item.

Those are nice, I use a Quick LoK system too, for my DJ system (3 turntables and 2 cd players). But yeah, they take up space. What about thos foldable TV Tray type tables, not the most sturdy of things but it should do the trick.
  • I use a camp chair like this: chair
Turn it so it faces me and set the KB on the arms. Dual purpose! Also less likely to tip over if on soft of uneven ground.
