Anyone familar with Damon Astoria??

I have a Damon Astoria and was wondering if anyone out there knew much about these. I'm looking to find information about the converter & inverter of these units. Mine is a 2005 and is loaded, but I don't know if I have an inverter providing me 120v from the batts. I have been digging through my manuals, but have so many that I'm going blind trying to find anything about this information. In fact, I'm not even sure where my converter is as I have never seen it. I think they have it buried in the wall between the battery compartment and the breaker panel inside.

  • No, not familiar with the Damon Astoria, but I did find a converter under the washing machine in a Pace Arrow. Maybe look for a vent cover to find the converter.
  • Thank you both. I'm still looking for that sucker. 99% sure I have no inverter, but I know there is a converter as I found the paper work. Now to just locate it. They must have it hid somewhere behind something. It is not in either compartment on the side where the coach fuses & breakers are. I can't even find it following the cables from the coach batt's. They disapear into the coach.:S
Checking inside now all cubbies.. :)
  • On my 2000 Ultrasport which is the predecessor of the Astoria, my converter is in the vanity beside the bed. It hums and can be easily detected.
  • Locate your interior fuse / breaker boxes for the coach (not the chassis). Probably in the rear bedroom. Now go to the basement compartment closest to the breaker box location in your basement. The converter will be a silver colored box mounted to the side wall of the storage compartment with a small fan housing about 3" in diameter at the end of the converter which is about a foot square and 3" deep. Inverter should be mounted nearby and is probably black and may be a little larger
