- The second was a coat of silver paint over the Henry's.
This fared a little better. It still scraped off, but not real easily, and it came off in just bits and pieces, like this.
Either way, I would not want to use paint over top of the Tropi-Cool.
- You may remember a while back that I had applied some Henry's Tropi-Cool silicone roof coating on some plywood.
Got curious the other night, and decided to apply 2 different colors of paint over the coating, just to see if it would stick.
Here's the first. This is black, and after it dried, it just pulled off very easily in a sheet. Not un-expected.

Use 6 2X4X12' or 16' treated yellow pine for upright and frame to hold them rigid with cross bracing. Two 2X6X16' with 1/2" plywood decking 16" or 24" width for walk board laid on horizonal bracing to give proper working height.
Pick good grain wood with no major knots. If nailed together can be knocked apart for disassembly or use screws to make easier.
This will result in a walk board made of 2X6 spanning 8' If concerned with load bearing add a third 2X6.
Thanks for the input Pastor C.Bill.Satellite wrote:

Anybody using a home made version made out of 2 x 4's? I need to get up in the air about 6 - 7 feet, and want a safety railing to make sure I don't fall off. - Yes, call me a wuss.
I want to build 2 of them about 16' long. Wanderlost wrote:
Maybe you could get fancy and do a fade in sunrise or sunset colors. That would get folks' attention...
We had a spinnaker in sky blue, yellow, orange, red, and dark blue made up for our sailboat many years ago, before we decided to come ashore with a Class A. Got a lot of attention, and made it easy for folks to link up -- just look for the sunset spinnaker.
Not fully decided yet. I did however, temporarily hang this up a few days ago, just to see how it would look on the back.
Even though I'm not a beach person, I kind of like this on the back. I'm sure there are plenty of other things that would look just as nice back there.

Just keep up the good work, looks good, my type of class, just don't fancy the new stuff.
Thanks. More to come, hopefully, shortly.- WanderlostNomad IIMaybe you could get fancy and do a fade in sunrise or sunset colors. That would get folks' attention...
