- LouLawrenceExplorer IIIt seems the OP works harder at finding absurd uses of wood than working toward completion. It gets more and more bizarre as the thread gets longer and longer in tooth. I'm still hooked but I can't for the life of me figure out why!
- PastorCharlieExplorerI use all the hollow spaces in my tires to store air.... counting the spare, I have 700 lbs. stored away in case a need arises. :)
- navegatorExplorerI used two bread boxes turned upside down on the tiny head above the door and the loo, with rv overhead springs, wife used them for everything that she needed, finding small spaces in an rv is a chalenge, I found other spaces behind the speakers in the cabin, under the couch, the pilot and copilot seats and the "shower/tub" for that space I had to cut tbe side and instal a door outside, that is where all the potable water conectors, hoses, preshure regulator, etc. recided.
As you go along you will come up with more nooks and cranies to use.
navegator - I took a little bit of a turn today. The wall next to the toilet. I figured, since storage is always at a premium in any rv, that I could utilize this just a little better than making a hollow wall.
Enter thought process...... I decided to turn that wall into a shelving area. Granted, those shelves won't be deep or wide, but every little bit helps.
The shelves will be about 2 1/4" deep and only about 10" wide. However, they should be able to hold bottles of shampoo, bars of soap, maybe q-tips, or other items normally stored in the bath area.
There will be 6 of them, so it beats a hollow wall.

So that was a 10 minute job, anything else today?
Well, you'd think it was a 10 minute job, wouldn't you?
I've had a lot of 10 minute jobs that took 4 hours. Lol.
No, this wasn't a 4 hour job.
Anything else? - Yes, but nothing that I was ready to post.- Bruce_BrownModeratorSo that was a 10 minute job, anything else today?
- I pulled the plywood off the wall, and added some glue and about 500 nails to hold it together until the glue dries.
Ok, ok, it's a bit of an exaggeration with the nails.
I did put a bunch in there though.
Another case of "one small step". Hey, that's better than no step. Wanderlost wrote:

Doesn't look too bad for a 1983 plastic toilet that has spent a bunch of time in a woodworking environment! Lol...
Yea, it needs some refurb, or replacement.- WanderlostNomad IIToilet looks like it could use a bit of maintenance (and cleanup)...

Hope your wife is tall enough to step up that high to flush.
It's not as bad as it might look in the pic. The overall height of the seat is about 17" with the step at about 11".
